  • (a)

    The board shall render a report to the city commission showing the fiscal transactions of the retirement system for the year ending the preceding thirtieth day of June and the last balance sheet showing the financial condition of the retirement system by means of an actuarial valuation of the assets and liabilities of the retirement system as of the preceding last day of June.

    (b)

    The board shall adopt such mortality and other tables of experience as are necessary in the operation of the retirement system on an actuarial basis.
