§ 25. [Effective date.]

This Charter Amendment shall take effect on July 1, 1992. The retirement system of the city existing when this Charter amendment takes effect, including the powers and duties of the retirement board, the benefit schedules and the terms for accruing rights to and receiving benefits under the system shall continue in existence exactly as before until changed by ordinance in accordance with this article.
