§ 22-1. Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to set forth the city's community development regulations and is intended to be read and applied in conjunction with the provisions of chapter 23 of the City Code, under which the city assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the State Construction Code, being Act 230, P.A. 1972, MCL 125.1501 et seq. (the "Act"), as amended, and which designates the city's building official as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the city under the Act.
